Privacy Policy – Text Extractor

This privacy policy describes how the Text Extractor Chrome extension ("the extension") handles information when you use it.

1. What data the extension accesses

The extension accesses website content only when you use the "Start extraction" feature. Specifically, it reads the visible text of the element you click or focus on (e.g. a paragraph, cell, or link label). It does not access form inputs, passwords, cookies, or any other data beyond the text of the element you choose to capture.

2. How that data is used

The text you extract is:

• Shown in the extension's side panel so you can see your list.
• Available for you to export to a file (TXT, CSV, or Excel-compatible) on your device.

All of this happens only on your device. The extension does not send extracted text—or any other data—to the developer or to any server.

3. Sharing of user data

The extension does not share your data with any party. Extracted text is not transmitted to the developer, to third parties, or to any external service. It exists only in your browser (and in any file you choose to export on your own device).

4. Data we do not collect

The extension does not collect, store, or transmit:

• Personally identifiable information (name, email, address, etc.)
• Health, financial, or payment information
• Authentication information (passwords, credentials)
• Personal communications (email, messages)
• Location, web history, or general browsing activity
• Analytics or usage tracking

5. Permissions

The extension uses Chrome permissions only to:

• Run on the tabs you have open when you click "Start extraction" (so it can capture the text of elements you click).
• Show its interface in the side panel and let you export your list to a file.

No permission is used to send data off your device.

6. Changes to this policy

If this privacy policy is updated, the "Last updated" date at the top will be changed. Continued use of the extension after changes means you accept the updated policy.
